The principal of the firm, Ms. Sigman graduated from the University of
Michigan in 1974 and from Wayne State University Law School in 1980. She has been practicing family law since 1984 and
is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a past co-chairman of the Women's Bar Association
of Illinois and the Family Law Committee, a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Matrimonial Law Committee and the Illinois State
Bar Association, Family Law Section. Ms. Sigman has had numerous court appointments to represent
minors in child custody matters and is a frequent lecturer on family law topics. |

Reneé Elise Roffle, an associate with the firm, clerked for
Helen Sigman & Associates, Ltd. during law school and joined the
firm as an attorney in 2007. Ms. Roffle received her Juris
Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 2007 and
her Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, in Psychology and Vocal
Performance from Miami University of Ohio in 2004.
Before joining Helen Sigman & Associates, Ltd., Ms. Roffle clerked
for both a large family law firm and a personal injury/medical malpractice
firm in Chicago.
During law school, Ms. Roffle received a certificate in Family
Law from the Schiller, DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center at
DePaul University and participated in the DePaul University Family Law Clinical
Program, representing low-income and indigent
clients in domestic relations matters.
Ms. Roffle is currently a co-chair of the Family Law Committee,
Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association, and she is a member of the
Chicago Bar Association, the American Bar
Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Women's Bar Association
of Illinois. Ms. Roffle is
a native of Okemos, Michigan. Ms. Roffle's practice lies exclusively in
the area of family law.
